Recent consulting assignments include: Tourism Ireland – An in-depth analysis of the Great Britain tourism market for travel to the island of Ireland. This "Project Britain" review involved a fundamental examination of the main characteristics of the GB market in the context of its demand for visits to Ireland for all purposes. The project led to a series of recommendations aimed at focusing the island of Ireland's marketing efforts more closely on the most promising sectors of the GB market. The Chairman and Chief Executive of a UK FTSE 100 company – A detailed study of the characteristics of and trends in the UK travel market. This covered a detailed analysis of economic and social trends, purchasing patterns, destination choices and market segment. The objective of the research was to inform our client's future investment programme in which the travel industry features strongly. Pacific Asia Travel Association – Two studies for PATA's Research and Development Centre on the UK international travel market to the PATA region, and a broader study of all long-haul travel into that region, with an analysis of trends, demand determinants, competition issues and predictions. An on-line travel start-up company/Arthur D Little – A study on European leisure air travel market trends, defining the magnitude, composition, value and characteristics of air travel markets across a range of European countries, and focusing on the vital inclusive tour sector of Europe's huge leisure travel market. Pacific Asia Travel Association – A detailed study of the current profile and future potential for India's outbound travel market. The study involved extensive research within India, and looked at the regional origins of overseas travel within India, the groups and types of traveller, the emergence of new market segments and the prospects for future growth. European Travel Commission – A report on the Indian travel market to Europe, a growing market for a number of European destination countries. Pacific Asia Travel Association – Summaries of the macro-economic prospects for PATA's member states and for the principal extra-regional tourism origin markets. These formed part of the research briefings provided to PATA members at the association’s Annual Conferences held in Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.
