Travel Research International offers specialised input to larger, more generalised consulting practices, for example:

PricewaterhouseCoopers
PricewaterhouseCoopers commissioned Travel Research International to supply two research studies to New Europe and the Hotel Industry. These two components of the study covered the structure of the hotel industry in Europe and the European traveller - each section presenting both an analysis of recent trends and a series of predictions as to the likely future direction of the industry and of travel patterns in Europe.

DTZ Pieda
Travel Research International has undertaken two commissions for DTZ Pieda, on behalf of the Scottish and Northern Ireland tourism authorities respectively. For Scotland, the firm carried out a comparative study of tourism policy, incentives, management in Costa Rica as part of a wider best practice exercise. On behalf of Northern Ireland, the work involved a similar analysis in the six US states of New England, in addition to helping to lead a three-day, public/private sector industry symposium in Northern Ireland.

Maxwell Stamp plc
Travel Research International was responsible for the preparation of a detailed paper on tourism in the African continent which formed part of a broader, multi-sectoral study undertaken by Maxwell Stamp plc. This report was submitted to the Heads of State of the African Union at the July 2002 summit.

PricewaterhouseCoopers
Travel Research International was commissioned by PricewaterhouseCoopers to undertake a study of trends in the luxury hotel segment in Europe. The research included an analysis of what attracts investors into this volatile segment of the market, a survey of opinion among key operators and analysts, and an assessment of the changing nature of the increasing demand for top end hotels.

Environmental Resources Management
Environmental Resources Management (ERM) commissioned Travel Research International to review tourism sector issues and policies as part of a major UK study of the long-term impact of climate change. The company undertook a review of local and regional government planning processes that affect tourism and leisure directly, and assisted the overall study team to set priorities for future research and action in this area.

Arthur D Little
We were commissioned by Arthur D Little, on behalf of a new dot.com company, to provide detailed analysis of European leisure air travel market trends. The assignment defined the magnitude, composition, value and characteristics of air travel markets across a range of European countries, focusing on the vital inclusive tour sector.

PricewaterhouseCoopers
We carried out a survey of the UK conference and meetings market. The study's primary objective was an analysis of the role played by the specialised conference management companies, in contrast to that of the hotel companies and chains, and included a survey carried out specially for this study among the UK's leading conference centres and management companies.
