Since its establishment in 1998, Travel Research
International has provided consultancy services for a wide variety
of clients. Our client list falls under the following broad categories:
National tourism authorities
We have undertaken a number of studies to help tourism authorities assess
their competitiveness, identify their most promising markets and target
these more effectively. Our work has included the preparation of tourism
marketing and development plans and competition studies.
Governments and international
organisations
Travel Research International has been commissioned by governments and
governmental organisations to assess a wide range of both sector specific
and more far reaching subjects within the tourism sector. Such studies
have ranged from the impact of climate change on the travel and tourism
industry to an assessment of the impact of September 11, 2001 on the
industry.
Industry associations
We have undertaken specific reports and studies on a variety of international
tourism origin markets, many of which have been published as research
papers by organisations such as the European Travel Commission and the
Pacific Asia Travel Association.
Consultancies
As a specialised company able to operate in a more cost effective way
than many major consultancies, Travel Research International has been
commissioned to provide the tourism input to multi-sectoral projects
undertaken by larger, more broadly-based consultancies.
The industry's private
sector
We provide customised research for private sector clients. The company
has particularly focused on the hotel sector and its suppliers, providing
them with analysis on the strategic directions and development of the
international industry as well as the strategies of the main players
at a national level.
