Our organisation
Travel Research International Limited was founded in 1998, and its
founders have specialised in the industry for some 20 years. The company is
recognised as a world-class, multi-sectoral specialist in the travel
and tourism industry, providing services to both public and private
sector clients.
The firm has a particular understanding of the inter-relationships
between the main sectors within the industry, of the underlying determinants
of demand in travel markets and of the trends in the global industry
and the key issues which affect it.
In addition to the company's consulting services, Travel Research International
also publishes detailed research reports on key sectors of the industry
and the main issues which influence it.
Our team
Travel Research International's directors - Graham Todd and Sue Mather
- have genuinely global experience of the international travel and tourism
industry. They have worked for many years as international consultants in the industry,
in over 80 countries in Europe, Asia, the Pacific, Africa, the
Middle East and the Americas. Prior to forming Travel Research International,
they spent ten years running the Travel and Tourism Division of the
Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) and its successor. They are now members
of the Industries Advisory Board of the EIU.
Graham Todd is an economist with
over 30 years' experience in economic analysis and international consulting.
During his career, he has worked on a variety of projects, principally
in the areas of tourism and leisure, industrial development and employment
creation, transport industries and pre-privatisation studies. He has
extensive project leadership and project management experience in a
wide variety of sectors and countries.
Sue Mather is a tourism industry
specialist with over 15 years' experience in the sector. She has wide
knowledge of all aspects of the international travel and tourism industry,
with a particular specialisation in the analysis of tourism markets,
destinations, and the hotel sector. Her project experience and research
publications cover tourism operations and development across a variety
of regions and sectors.
Associates Supporting the company's own capabilities is a network of
specialised associates whose expertise covers most segments of the industry and most regions of the world.
Travel Research International can thus execute a very wide variety of project work, forming consulting
teams tailored to clients' precise needs.
